PAPER PRESENTATION

General Rules

  • Each active participant can submit up to 2 papers as first author and participate in a maximum of 4 papers as coauthor, with a total limit of 4 papers per participant.
  • The abstract must not exceed 400 words. Our platform will not let you to submit your abstract if it exceeds 400 words. Remember that only the structure elements of your paper are counted.
  • IMPORTANT: Case presentations are only eligible for poster presentations.
  • All Active Participants can submit two scientific paper included in the participation tax.
  • Every paper can have:

    • 1 First Author
    • 1-4 Coauthors
    • 1-2 Coordinators
  • For selecting your coauthors, all of them must be registered on our website as:

    • Active Participant – if they are participants in our congress.
    • Coauthor – if they do not participate in our congress– for this category of registration, there is no tax.
  • For our congress, as an Active Participant you can have:

    • 1 Paper as First Author + Maximum 3 Papers as Coauthor
    • 2 Papers as First Author + Maximum 2 Papers as Coauthor
    • 0 Papers as First Author + Maximum 4 Papers as Coauthor
    • As coauthor you can have a maximum of 4 papers.

Validation Process

Scientific Review Committee:

  • Papers are blind-reviewed by the Scientific Review Committee – a committee of professors, doctors and associates from the university will blind review your paper. Once the paper is reviewed, you will receive an e-mail in which you will find the status of your paper:
      • Accepted: Your paper is validated and moves to the next step.
      • Minor Revision: Revise and resubmit within 24 hours, according to the reviewer comments found in the e-mail.
      • Rejected: Your paper has been rejected and it won’t go forward to the next step. You will find attached in the email the reason(s) why it was rejected.

Plagiarism Review:

  • Papers passing the scientific review are checked for plagiarism using a software provided by the University of Medicine and Pharmacy Târgu Mureș. ATTENTION! Any paper found as plagiarism will be rejected from the congress and we will notify not only the participant of this, but also and his or her university as well.
  • Results will be posted on the Validated Papers Tab on the website: – Green: Accepted for presentation and publication, Red: Rejected (Blue: Under review)

Presentation Rules

  • Oral Presentations:

    • Format: .pptx only.
    • Duration: 5–7 minutes, including panel questions.
  • Poster Presentations:

    • Format: .jpg in 4K resolution (3840×2160, LANDSCAPE orientation).
    • Duration: 3–5 minutes, including panel questions.

You can download a poster template, the Marisiensis and UMFST Visual Identity from here, modify it in PowerPoint and export it to .jpg with the resolution of 3840×2160 (LANDSCAPE orientation)

OFFICIAL LANGUAGE: The Official Language of the Congress is ENGLISH. All of the papers must be submitted in ENGLISH, but they can be presented in both English and Romanian

Paper Publication

All validated and presented papers will be published in a supplement of Acta Medica Marisiensis, the official B+ indexed journal of the University of Medicine and Pharmacy Târgu Mureș.
